VW Passat GLX

The Volkswagen Passat, which is the German word for "Trade Wind", is a family sized sedan that has been in production since 1973. The development of the VW Passat's water-cooled engine was made possible in part due to the acquisition of Audi in 1964, and was introduced just as VW Beetle sales began to decline.

The VW Passat has been a very important model for Volkswagen both in terms of advancements in technology, as well as providing a means to compete with its European rivals.
